Aroma Lamps

Aromalamps

(Reed or Candle Diffusers)

An aroma lamp is a classic, non-electrical method of scenting a room. The most traditional type uses a small candle. The device typically consists of two parts: a decorative upper bowl (often made of ceramic or stone) and a stand with space for a tea light candle underneath.

To use it, you fill the bowl with a little water and add several drops of essential oil. The heat from the candle gently warms the water-oil mixture, causing the fragrance to slowly evaporate and disperse into the surrounding area. This method creates a warm, subtle, and ambient scent throw, perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere.

A popular modern variation is the reed diffuser, which uses rattan reeds placed in a bottle of fragrant oil. The reeds passively absorb the oil and diffuse the scent into the air without any heat or flame, offering a constant, flame-free fragrance. All aroma lamps provide a gentle, continuous fragrance ideal for smaller spaces like bathrooms or bedrooms.
